I recently bought dress circle tickets on line for South Pacific at the Festival Theatre Edinburgh. According to the booking plan most of the Dress Circle seats were unavailable therefore I presumed already booked. But at the performance most of the dress circle seats were empty. Attempting to book for the pantomime at Christmas I noticed again that a huge number of seats are unavailable. Is there a policy not to sell tickets in certain parts of the theatre? And if so, why?

You really need to ask the theatre this question as I have no idea.
Taking my wife and her mother here for a Saturday matinee performance so looking for some reasonably priced parking nearby for about 3-4 hours. Any advice would be great.

This reply is probably too late, however there is no reasonably priced parking near the theatre. I always leave my car and take the bus.
