How much time should we allot for a guided tour? And do you just show up and wait for the next guided tour?

I would allot at least 2 hours for the trip. You can call ahead in the morning to check your times for they day. I think they run at half past the hour. There is also a film which plays …

Is there a lot of walking with a guide?
A:
Not a lot. All on pathways, so not too strenuous. If it gets too much just head back to the visitor centre - you're never too far away.
