Cuomo has yet to declare his official candidacy, but polling reported Monday showed him leading the Democratic mayoral field.

Lander is hardly the only mayoral candidate to be going after Cuomo. Former Comptroller Scott Stringer’s campaign called Cuomo’s comeback a “fantasy” and laid out the arguments against him in a memo. Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani said Cuomo was “defending a genocide” by joining Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s legal team.
