A tropical storm still presented a threat to the French territory of Mayotte, officials said Sunday, even though it was moving away after bringing torrential rains and flooding, and after killing three people in Madagascar.

The French Indian Ocean territory of Mayotte has been hit by further heavy rains, leading to flooding and mudslides, one month after Cyclone Chido devastated large parts of the islands and left dozens dead.

Tropical Storm Dikeledi was moving south of France's Indian Ocean territory of Mayotte on Sunday after dumping heavy rains on parts of the archipelago just weeks after it was ravaged by a devastating cyclone.
