Sony has announced that it will start selling the Digital Edition of the PlayStation 5 Slim console for $379.99 for a limited time. Sony released slim variants of its PlayStation 5 console last year. These redesigned consoles give the PS5 a sleeker look, but don't provide any significant hardware upgrades.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has cut the price of the PlayStation 5 Slim Digital Edition console in the United States in a limited-time offer. In a deal running until December 24, “while supplies last”, the PS5 Slim Digital Edition is available with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $379.99.

This holiday deal brings the slim PS5 digital edition just under the original $399.99 price of the launch version of the PS5 digital console. The footnote at the end of the ad specifies that this price is only for the disc-free console,

If you were planning to get the PS5 digital edition at launch, you're only saving $20 with this deal, and you could get it for even less if you buy a pre-owned console. The new price was announced through a new PS5 ad simply titled "Play Has No Limits",
