Dylan DeMelo scored with 27 seconds left to play to give the Winnipeg Jets a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken.

WINNIPEG -- Dylan DeMelo broke a tie with 27 seconds remaining, and the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Seattle Kraken 2-1 at Canada Life Centre on Thursday. DeMelo, who was playing in his 600th NHL game, scored with a wrist shot when Nikolaj Ehlers found him toward the high slot.

Dylan DeMelo scored with 27 seconds left in regulation to give the Winnipeg Jets a hard-earned 2-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday.

The Kraken managed to keep pace Thursday night against the best in the West, but an unlucky bounce in the closing minute allowed Winnipeg to escape with a 2-1 win.

DeMelo's goal with 27 seconds left was the difference in his 600th NHL game as the Jets picked up their third win in a row.

The Seattle Kraken travelled to the Winnipeg Jets on Jan. 16 for the last game of their road trip. The game was tied 1-1 heading into the third. It was ultimately the Jets who took the win, 2-1, at the last possible second.
