Prince Harry's lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch's British newspaper group officially begins at the High Court in London on Tuesday, with King Charles' younger son set to appear as a witness himself at the trial next month.

Barring a late settlement, Harry’s lawsuit against News Group Newspapers will begin Monday, with potential consequences for the royal family, the media baron and even The Washington Post.

In his ruling yesterday, the judge awarded the newspaper half of its costs relating to the argument over witness statements, saying it had been partly successful but also “overly optimistic” in attempts to narrow down the evidence given in defence of Prince Harry.
