Indian benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex ended the previous trade session higher. Nifty 50 closed at 25,415.80, while Sensex ended at 83,184.80. Overnight, Wall Street indices witnessed gains, with S&P 500 and Dow Jones closing at record high levels.

The trends on Gift Nifty also indicate a mildly positive start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading around 25,530 level, a premium of nearly 40 points from the Nifty futures’ previous close.

The benchmark equity indices opened Friday’s trading session on a positive note. The NSE Nifty 50 opened 0.46% higher at 25,532, while the BSE Sensex opened 370 points 0.45% higher at 83,555. The broader indices opened in the green.

Within the Nifty index, several prominent companies, including NTPC, Titan, Kotak Bank, And Nestle India were among the top gainers. On the other hand BPCL, Coal India, ONGC , And Adani Ports were the the top losers.
