Nintendo revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 overnight and whilst details were fairly light, it does look to have confirmed one rumour to be true. It looks as though the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con controllers can magnetically snap into a little holder (similar to the first Switch) and then be used like a mouse.

There’s a new button under the home button on the right Joy-Con, which had shown up in leaks. The video also appears to show the Joy-Cons being used similarly to a mouse. And the SL and SR buttons on the Joy-Cons are bigger than they are on the original Switch’s Joy-Cons.

The announcement did not provide many details on the console or a specific release date. The company claims more information about the system will be available during the companys

In a sparse teaser, Nintendo announced the Switch 2, its first major console release since the original Switch released in 2017 to huge sales.

Japan's Nintendo will release the Switch 2 console, successor to its hit Switch device, this year, it said on Thursday. The Kyoto-based gaming company did not release pricing for the new device and said it would provide more details at a Nintendo Direct event on April 2.
