Rumors regarding the possible closure of Six Flags parks emerged following a quarterly report earlier this month.

On Wednesday, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation released its quarterly earnings report roughly detailing a long-range plan called "Project Accelerate," which promised a “comprehensive review of the portfolio to evaluate the potential divestiture of non-core assets to help reduce leverage.”
