Casey's General Stores has introduced a limited-time only recipe ahead of National Pizza Week: The Italian Deli Pizza. This pie features marinara, mozzarella cheese, salami, chopped bacon, banana peppers and is sprinkled with a signature parmesan blend.

While any time is the right time for pizza, Sunday kicks off National Pizza Week. This weeklong celebration of the humble pizza runs through Jan. 18. The origins of National Pizza Week are not totally clear, but the week began sometime in the 1980s as a way for pizzerias to promote pizza during the winter months, according to daysoftheyear.com.
