The Houston Texans held up their end of the bargain when it comes to ratings for the NFL Christmas game on Netflix.

It's that time of year in which we're getting NFL games on Christmas Day. And that's the case on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, with two games on the calendar as part of Week 17 of the NFL season. One of them is the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans

All Netflix wants for Christmas, when the Ravens face the Texans at 4:30 p.m., is to avoid another sports livestream disaster.

In the NBA, the Christmas lineup averaged 5.25 million viewers on ABC and ESPN, a big increase from the all-time low of 2.85 million in 2023. ABC simulcast all five games this year, whereas the broadcaster only carried two a year ago due in part to its Monday Night Football obligation.

If Jackson does view the show, he won't be the first player to stay out to watch a halftime performance. During Super Bowl LVI, Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson watched Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar hit the stage. The Ravens are currently 10-5, while the Texans are 9-6.

The Houston Texans will host the Baltimore Ravens in the second matchup of an NFL Christmas Day doubleheader on Netflix. It'll be the first time the two teams cross paths since last season's AFC Divisional Playoff game, where Baltimore defeated the Texans 34-10.
