The election of Donald Trump has stoked optimism on Wall Street, where his business-friendly agenda is expected to juice economic growth and loosen regulations. Electric vehicle makers, however, face a hazier outlook than most other businesses.

With Trump in office, even more creative policies and support structures that could directly or indirectly benefit Tesla may be on the table.

Of the 52 analysts covering TSLA stock surveyed by S&P Global Market Intelligence, 12 rate it at Strong Buy, six say Buy and 19 have it at Hold. Furthermore, four call TSLA a Sell and seven say it's a Strong Sell.
