A person died Sunday after a house fire broke out at a home in Gig Harbor, according to the Key Peninsula Fire Department.

One person is dead after a fire broke out inside a Gig Harbor-area home over the weekend. Key Peninsula fire crews were dispatched at 10:57 a.m. on Sunday to the fire near the Lake of the Woods neighborhood off 140th Street,

On Sunday, Key Peninsula Fire answered calls about a residential fire near the intersection of 131st Street Northwest and 140th Avenue Northwest in Gig Harbor. When crews arrived, they found a single-family home on fire.
