Brad Pitt is not on social media, his team reminded fans, after a French woman said she was conned out of $800,000 by scammers posing as the A-list actor.

The scammers apparently convinced the woman that “Brad” needed money for cancer treatment by sending her numerous AI-generated images depicting the movie star in the hospital.

A spokesperson for Brad Pitt has responded to viral reports that a 53-year-old French woman was scammed out of $850,000 by online fraudsters who impersonated the Oscar-winner.
