The Texas Department of Public Safety said 64-year-old Virginia Castano-Marquez died in a crash Wednesday afternoon in the 5800 block of East County Road 6300 and Highway 62/82.

Two cases of measles were confirmed on the South Plains this week both within the same family from Gaines county.
