Motherboard maker MSI has confirmed that it's looking into a Redditor's burned out 9800X3D CPU and X870 Tomahawk motherboard socket.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the best gaming processor currently on the market and a much better option than the new Intel Core Ultra 9 285K. Pictures of the burned chips appeared on Reddit and QuasarZone in the past couple of days. Both CPUs are Ryzen 7 9800X3Ds, the model that has been rocking the CPU landscape with its out-of-the-gate performance and overclock ability.

AMD may already have won this generation of desktop processors. But the company is convinced that you should also be turning to Ryzen processors for mobile gaming, as a series of AMD’s own benchmarks show the Ryzen AI 300 absolutely dominating.
