Greta Gerwig isn't only changing the movie game with films like Barbie, she's changing how we're able to watch them. Because while Netflix has the rights to her upcoming Narnia films, they just announced that the new movie is coming to the big screen — and confirmed its release date.

Netflix's upcoming 'Narnia' movie will be released exclusively in Imax for two weeks before it appears on the streaming service. It is Imax's first deal for a theatrical window for a Netflix feature film.

The upcoming Narnia adaptations from Greta Gerwig will get a theatrical release from Netflix. Puck News reports that Netflix will allow Gerwig's Narnia movie to play in about 1,000 IMAX theaters for three to four weeks. The first one will be released on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026.
