The Trump administration has authorized the DEA, ATF and the US Marshals to begin making immigration arrests and processing deportations, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The FBI already has immigration-enforcement powers via Title 8 authority, but the agency typically focuses on criminal investigations

The acting Homeland Security Secretary Benjamin Huffman, has outlined plans to extend immigration enforcement powers to Justice Department agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the U.S. Marshals Service, the memo quoted in the report showed.
