Nov 30, 2019 · Get some logs can be anything arrange them ,north ,south,then a couple east west,stack the firewood logs on top they should be raised a good distance off the ground,the firewood logs will last like that a very long time,and get plenty of air circulation. Back in the day i did this until i got around to cutting them.

Dec 24, 2011 · The top 2 pictures are a dray I threw together for about $10. It really works slick hauling logs and works either in snow or on bare ground. We use a simple ratchet strap to hold the logs in place. Click on the second picture to see the eyebolts and ratchet strap. The trailer is an atv trailer and we also use this behind our Cub Cadet.

Dec 18, 2006 · i was just wondering if any of you guys buy log-length firewood and what you're paying for it. i've been getting tri-axle loads of logs for about 25 years now. last year i got a very reasonably priced load from an older man who owns his own sawmill for $300. pretty cheap but had a lot of soft maple in it. mostly i've paid between $350 and $400.

Jan 1, 2008 · It makes sense that those "log cord" numbers reduce when CSS. So a 20' x 8' x 4' trailer, for example, would be 640 ft^3, or 5 "cords of logs." Once CSS with higher packing efficiency, and obviously it shrinks from that 5.0 number. Never bought logs/firewood in my life, but that's my deduction.

Their extravagant claims of being equivalent to 1-1/2 to 2 cords of firewood is based purely on moisture content (firewood @ 20% moisture), and using some light weight, not highly condensed wood, such as a true fir or pine for their "cord."
