MOD. What is the actual cost of replacing a 2018 Model 3 battery? Model 3. The articles I read all range from $5,000 to $20,000. If I’m looking to purchase a 2018 Model 3, is there a narrower price range I can expect to pay for a battery replacement? I want to calculate the cost of maintenance for buying used versus new.

The pack itself was $13,500. You could reasonably expect the batteries to last between 300,000 to 500,000 miles. On the model 3, they cost between 12k - 16k to replace according to tesla's parts catalog. Not to mention the recycle credit you'll most likely be able to claim for the old battery in a number of years.
